- Lost items. Waiter or Captain should take responsibility, taking the name, address, cell phone number, and informing the manager afterwards..
- Special dish wish for the customer. Checking with kitchen if we are able to it or not
- Guest request for extra sauce, vegetables etc. Waiter should just bring it.
- Guest complaint. Listen carefully, show understanding. Offer maybe a person talking in the same language for better understanding (if possible)
- High spenders. Captain can give something additionally without asking the Manager
- When a waiter passes another section of the restaurant he/she is empowered to take an additional order from the guest when he wishes to place one. No need to say to the guest “I send for my colleague”
- In charge of making a kid happy. Bring a scoop of ice, a chefs head etc
- Place order for some disposable cameras. When a special occasion, give the guest 1 of them so that they have a memorable moment on picture
I can assure you that you operation will be much more alive. All staff also growing their confident as we all know this is also very important thing to take note when you want your operation grow as well. Staff need to develop at the first stage if you want your operation flow high, it has impact from Restaurant Service Empowerment.
