Need :
It is important how to process a food order in order that the guest would receive the correct order from the kitchen; this would impact the experience and would show the guest of Standard.
Standards How to Process a Food Order :
- Be happy and polite.
- Approach the guests with a greeting and a smile and ask them if they are ready to order.
- Always approach with a smile. Good evening! Mr. _____________ May I take your order now?
- Be knowledgeable about your menu, use up selling technique.
- If a guest seems still undecided, ask if they need a more time or ask if you can be of any help.
- Example: If you prefer to have beef today, may I suggest our ___________(name a specific beef item on the menu and describe it)
- Help, be supportive and use up selling technique.
- Suggest specials, popular items but also take time to listen to guests’ inquiries. Suggest according to what seems to be of interest to them.
- Listen carefully to the guest.
- Confirm the order, notice each person’s special instruction or dietary restriction. (less spice, no oil, no chicken, etc.)
- Work fast and efficient.
- Punch in the orders quickly into the cashier system and punch in special instructions also.
- Orders must be punched in as soon as the order taking process is done.
- Ensure right cutlery for each guest.
- Prepare the table accordingly.
